SKAN values that survive review
Conversion value schemes fail in meetings when only UA understands the bit mapping. Product hears gibberish; finance hears excuses. A scheme that survives review is one three functions can explain in plain language.
Shared checklist
- Name the primary business event the bits protect (trial start, deposit, subscription).
- List which finer behaviors you willingly sacrifice.
- Document expected sparsity — what a quiet day looks like.
- Schedule a revisit date; values are not tattoos.
Common trap
Cramming too many low-value events into early bits creates beautiful diagrams and useless postbacks. Prefer coarse, revenue-adjacent signals until volume justifies finer splits.
